QUE NOUS RESERVE L'IAA EN 2022 ? Les membres du groupe d'experts techniques fournissent des recommandations

L'AAI met en œuvre le projet Améliorer les connaissances et les preuves pour intensifier l'adaptation au changement climatique en Afrique, soutenu par l'UE et le PNUD. Le TEG de ce projet qui comprend des représentants de l'Union européenne, du Centre mondial sur l'adaptation (GCA), du champion AAI, de la Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) et de l'Institut de l'environnement de Stockholm (SEI) s'est réuni et a fourni des conseils et des recommandations pour le projet activités pour cette année.

The African Adaptation Initiative (AAI) Champion calls for a “Marshall Plan for climate” at the Cop26 World Leaders Summit

During the World Leaders Summit (1-2 November 2021) at the 26th Conference of the Parties (CoP) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), His Excellency Ali BONGO ONDIMBA, President of the Gabonese Republic, Champion of the African Adaptation Initiative (AAI) highlighted how Gabon is committed to being one of the most carbon-positive country in the world and called on countries that contribute the most to global greenhouse gas emissions to increase their ambitions in line with the 1.5 degrees Celsius goal.

Leaders’ Dialogue on Africa COVID-Climate Emergency

The Leaders’ Dialogue on the Africa Covid-Climate Emergency is being convened on 6 April 2021 by the African Development Bank and GCA, in close collaboration with the United Nations and Africa Adaptation Initiative. It brings together African Heads of States and Governments, bilateral partners, heads of international organizations and development agencies. The Dialogue serves as a platform to present Africa’s needs to the global community to scale up and speed up actions, financing and partnership.
